Raising Awareness for South Bend’s Homeless Population

Earlier this week, employees from South Bend represented IHC and Project Homecoming at the first annual Belly Burst SUB-K, an ‘un-run’ to benefit South Bend’s chronic homeless population. The Belly Burst is part of the city’s Best. Week. Ever. festival, an annual celebration of the city’s culture, progress, and creativity. Indiana Health Centers, along with other local agencies, passed out information to race participants and local residents regarding homeless resources in the South Bend area. The race and supporting agencies raised over $7000 to benefit Hope Ministries, an organization that offers housing, food and health care to residents in need.
